So, apart from occasionally taking a couple of photographs, I'm also very interested (although not very consistent) in other forms of art, mainly drawing and (in this case) music! The main problem for somebody who, like myself isn't actually a part of the music industry, is managing to take any ideas that may come to mind beyond the state of ideas, and into something more complete. Hard to achieve when you don't have the money for a good recording studio/sound engineer, and even harder when you don't really have any stable band with which to develop those ideas. Despite this, I recently had the good fortune of discovering a program which (par

Hello people, let me introduce myself: I was formerly Citrakayah (https://www.deviantart.com/citrakayah). I joined deviantART 3 or 4 years ago, when I got my first camera, and over time grew quite addicted to this site. I took loads of pictures, and uploaded a fair amount too. Countless hours were spent looking at other people's art. However, as time went on Life caught up with me and I found myself spending (or wasting, depending on one's point of view) less and less time on dA. For the past year and a half I only logged in two or three times. However, I also noticed that for the past year and a half I only picked up my camera two or three times. You could say that as I left

I finally got a chance to listen to Magma, I'm listening to Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh as we speak.

This is absolutely out of this world, Like nothing I've ever heard before!
Ah, I'm glad you liked it! :)

Also, it's funny you said "out of this world", since the whole concept behind the band and its albums is that of a group of humans leaves (an environmentally doomed) Earth at an unspecified point in the future, discovers a planet (Kobaïa), and then many years later rediscovers Earth and the people who stayed there. They sing in this invented language because Magma play the music of this planet :D

Each album of theirs tells a different part of the story of Kobaïa, but unfortunately it's almost impossible to know exactly what it is (unless you know French, because I've heard that the albums' liner notes summarize whatever each particular album is about). This band basically pioneered the "concept discography" at a time when even concept albums were only just becoming a thing :D

It certainly is powerful, and mystic stuff :)
That is pretty crazy, I couldn't even get close to understanding the lyrics (Not only do I not understand Kobaian, I don't know how to speak a lick of French neither! haha)

The concept of all of it is pretty awesome, I'm going to try and see if I can find a website to describe the lyrics in English (or Spanish would even be acceptable).
Since I'm not much of a French speaker either I get most info on their albums from Wikipedia (even though it is pretty superficial), but only because I can't be bothered to find a reliable enough fansite which goes into more details (although I'm sure it exists somewhere on the internet).
Thanks for the fav
