Also, it's funny you said "out of this world", since the whole concept behind the band and its albums is that of a group of humans leaves (an environmentally doomed) Earth at an unspecified point in the future, discovers a planet (Kobaïa), and then many years later rediscovers Earth and the people who stayed there. They sing in this invented language because Magma play the music of this planet
Each album of theirs tells a different part of the story of Kobaïa, but unfortunately it's almost impossible to know exactly what it is (unless you know French, because I've heard that the albums' liner notes summarize whatever each particular album is about). This band basically pioneered the "concept discography" at a time when even concept albums were only just becoming a thing
It certainly is powerful, and mystic stuff
